Verity

AJ Verity, bred in Cumbria, joins us from the Lancs/Yorks border. Her half sister is Unity, they were born two days apart, and I swear they recognised each other when Verity was coming out of quarantine to join the main flock.

Verity is registered as black, but she carries brown in the sire line from Samson (brown) via AJ George (black), and also carries brown in the dam line from AJ Nellie and her brown sire and dam. Like Stella, she is borderline between brown and black, and I will be interested to photograph her after shearing.

In profile she's a cutie, but head on she has the oddest face, which makes her instantly recognisable and, let's be honest, slightly comical!
